Pawpaw's Pussycats

       Well, I've gad a bit of a rodent problem around mi casa. Bella, my dachshund & Vlad, my Jack Russell terrier are doing their best to kill the vermin inside but I needed help around the perimeter.
      I went online and posted want ads in all the local pet sites asking for a Siamese or Siam mix young cat or older kitten. After at least 3 months with no replies, God answered my request.

     First, a young lilac point Siamese or mix showed up at my doorstep looking for vittles which I promptly provided. Soon thereafter a young lady of about the same age showed up who looks like no  other cat I've ever seen. She has the face of an Egyptian Mao cat, a ringed tail, spots on her sides and almond shaped markings on her legs. She is the friendliest of the lot but least often seen.  Anyway, the lilac seems to be of breeding age as what appears to be her identical daughter has arrived, some 8 weeks old, I'd reckon.

     I'm calling the older lilac "Biscuit" and her wee one "Dumplin". The wild ass looking cat is "Cornbread".

     Cornbread is the only one who will let me pick up or even touch so far but with my natural animal magnetism it won't be long before the other girls are in my lap!

New Eyes And Teeth

     Okay, I think I told y'all about my cataract surgery on both eyes. After insurance picked up their part I paid some $2,000 out of my pocket.
     Back around my birthday, September 10, I noticed one of my lower incisors (front teeth) was getting wobbly. My dentist said the problem wasn't my teeth but bone loss in my mandible (lower jaw bone). So, One loose tooth led to removal and replacement of 4 and crowning of 2 (1 on either side to hold the new 4 in place). She sold me a temporary set for $300.00 and I'll go in November 6 to get my permanent choppers glued in.
     SO this year I've spent $2000 to be able to see and before the year is out I'll spend another $4000 to be able to eat like I should.
     It ain't easy getting old and it DAMN sure ain't cheap!

I am back

     I have literally been through a sh*t storm since my last post but I am NOT complaining. Things could have easily been worse. It's just been at times I didn't have time to blog and when I did have time, I didn't feel like it.
     I have had a few very good things happen and some not quite so fantastic. Mostly, the good have been simple things that most would not be excited about and the not so good have been unforeseen expenses.
     It's all good though.  through trial and many errors I figured out how to send pictures from my cell phone vie text message so perhaps my next tech breakthrough will be posting them here.

     One hint about my lack of posting here.... You have heard "it ain't easy getting old?" Well, let me tell you what... it ain't cheap either.

     But, I am back. Not @ 100% or even in the high 90 percentile range but I am back ready to kick some butt and get back to blogging!
