A redneck moves from the trailerhood to the suburbs for a little patch of dirt to call home and set up an as much as possible self sufficient lifestyle. Some things will go better than planned, others worse. Hopefully, most will at best be somewhere in between.

Praying For My Friend
Needless to say, the older we get the more health issues we and our friends have. I'll be going Monday to have the cataract in my left eye removed but that's nothing compared to the news I just got about a dear friend of mine.
She's same age as I, 58 years but 5 days older. A few days ago she was feeling worse than crap and finally went to the Doctor. Yesterday they figured out she'd had a stroke. I don't yet know how severe it was but no stroke is a good stroke, right?
I am as always trying to keep my hands and mind occupied with my gardens and such. It's a good therapy for me, keeping myself rooted to the Earth as it were. And whilst digging around I can always have a chat with God.
While some good things have been happening in the gardens I'm really not up to sitting and posting about all that right now. I do hope you understand and pray if you got 'em! Not so much for me as God has been so much better to me than I could ever deserve... I am the poster child for "undeserved loving grace"!
Just pray if you will for my friend. I thank you and love you... always will, no matter what.
