Every couple of days I harvest a few pods of okra, a pod or 2 of peas and a pocketful of tomatoes. I've almost a gallon freezer bag full as the growing season draws near its end. My melons were quite disappointing. For some reason the flower end didn't "heal up" right and looked like a gigantic hemorrhoid so the fruits more or less rotted on the vine. At least the ducks & geese enjoyed them.
I thank God for what I have managed to grow this year and am sure that w/ His blessings next year will be better.
Who knows? I may even get a few eggs from the ducks and geese, perhaps a few muscadines. Later I hope for more than 5 lemons from my Meyer lemon tree and some produce from my other fruit trees.
