Coming Into Season

Years back I worked with a large black man we all called "Rev". It was quite a while before I learned he actually was a Reverend! But we share the same birthday, September 10.
It always tickled the Hell out of me that I knew when the astrological sign became Virgo because Rev would walk in and loudly announce, "All right, V~ people! We in season now!"

And I am so happy "we in season".  Last night's weather forecast called for lows in the 60's (F) later this week. I don't go deer hunting (although I love venison) because I simply cannot tolerate the cold. During the Summers here the heat indices are onto the 110 F range quite often which is too damned hot for me. Spring and Autumn are my happy times... highs in the 80's and lows in the 60's.

I'm working on a theory which is seeming pretty good... Cold equals age. When in my 20's I lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Twenty degrees was common in the Winter and it didn't bother me. Now I'm in my mid approaching late 50's  and mid to high 50 degree temps feel cold to me!
Cold equals age!
